Ashley Christensen

A graduate of Monona Academy of Dance and Dance Wisconsin, Ashley received additional training at Virginia School of the Arts, Boston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Nashville Ballet and Alonzo King's Lines Ballet. Ashley has danced professionally with Joel Hall Dancers and Jazzworks. She also returned numerous times to her roots as a guest artist of Dance Wisconsin. As a Guest Artist for Dance Wisconsin she has performed principal roles in The Nutcracker, La Fille Mal Gardee, Coppelia, and New Works. Ashley's choreography has been performed at various Regional Dance America Festivals.

An up and coming Costumer/Seamstress Ashley has had pieces performed in her custom made costumes across the United States including at various Youth America Grand Prix and New York City Dance Alliance competitions. Her pieces have been worn by Dance Wisconsin in their Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland, and New Works. Ashley teaches, ballet, jazz, and private lessons for Monona Academy of Dance. She works with all age levels from preschool through Senior Company. Her private lessons have helped students improve both their technique and performance. She has had students finish in the top ten at New York City Dance Alliance, and the top three in contemporary and top ten in classical variations at Youth America Grand Prix.
