dancing at a young age at Monona Academy of Dance and performing in Dance Wisconsin’s Nutcracker Fantasy. After a family move to central Wisconsin in her middle school years, she continued her studies at Academie de la danse with Marlene Turbin Weldon. In 2016, she graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan where she studied with Cameron Basden, Wendy Masterson, Joseph Morrissey, and Justin Koertgen. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. During her time at UW-Madison she was featured in repertory by Jin-Wen Yu and Liz Sexe. Throughout her high school and undergraduate studies, Megan has gotten to work with guest artists such as: Megan Williams (Mark Morris), Carol Teitelbaum (Merce Cunningham Dance Company), Virginia Garcia and Damián Muñoz (la intrusa), and Sidra Bell (Sidra Bell Dance New York). Megan has also worked as a choreographer, having three works featured in annual adjudicated student concerts at UW-Madison, two works commissioned by former peers (one of them being featured in a Dance Wisconsin concert). Through awarded scholarship during undergrad studies, Megan developed an evening length work, Bittersweet. In recent years Megan has had the opportunities to attend workshops such as the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Intensive, the New Dialect Intensive with Banning Bouldin, a GagaPeople Workshop in New York City with former and current Batsheva Dance Company members, and the b12 Contemporary Dance Festival in Berlin, Germany. Megan loves working with a variety of ages and abilities at Monona Academy of Dance! As a Dance Wisconsin company member, she appeared in many New Works concerts, The Nutcracker, La Fille Mal Gardee, Coppelia, and Alice in Wonderland. She also represented Dance Wisconsin and Regional Dance America’s Midstates region at the 2014 International Ballet Competition, where she performed in a collaborative work alongside dancers from all over the Midwest. She recently made a return to the stage in Dance Wisconsin’s The Wizard of Oz as the Wicked Witch of the West. Regan discovered her love of teaching dance as a high school freshman by assisting with the Pre-Ballet classes during breaks from rehearsal. After taking a break from dancing to attend college at University of Wisconsin – Madison, Regan returned to teach classes at the studio’s Sun Prairie location. She specializes in teaching ballet and jazz. She loves working with all ages and her goal is to create a safe, fun space for students where they can explore what dance means to them. She credits her students and their passion with helping her to rediscover the love of dance. Emily also studied at the Glenda Brown Choreography Project at the University of Kansas City. After graduating High School, she continued her dance studies at UW-Whitewater. There she received a contemporary dance scholarship that helped her to study and collaborate with choreographers at Western Michigan University and the University of California- Riverside. At UW-W, she served as a TA for the Contemporary/Flamenco professor throughout her sophomore and junior year. Emily continued teaching ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and creative movement to children and adults in Whitewater throughout undergrad. She also choreographed for “Merry Poppins Returns Musical” performed by the show choir at UW-Whitewater. She currently teaches ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop at Monona Academy of Dance and works with the MAD City Dancers. She continued her training with Madison Ballet where she became a trainee, performing in works such as W. Earle Smith’s “Nutcracker”, “Expressions”, and “Cinderella” as well as “Non e Normale” by Jacqueline Stewart and Stephanie Martinez, a piece originally created for the Joffrey Ballet. Elise Woloshin attended summer intensive and training programs at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Ballet Chicago, Alonzo King Lines Ballet in San Francisco and others. Elise has been an instructor for the city of Whitewater, Madison Ballet, Tutu School Sun Prairie, Tutu School Chicago, Kehl School of Dance, and Central Midwest Ballet. She has taught and helped create outreach programs for Madison Ballet including their performances at Kids in the Rotunda at the Overture Center for the Arts as well as at local libraries and schools. She danced as a trainee at Charlotte Ballet and Richmond Ballet where she was able to perform in productions with the main companies such as Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Who Cares? In 2019, Sarah joined Madison Ballet and has enjoyed performing roles in classical and contemporary works such as The Nutcracker, Ethos of Force, Birthday Variations, Paquita and Guitar Concerto. Hailing from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and growing up in a home with an appreciation for theatre and song, she quickly fell in love with performing, often devising musical bits, dance routines, and productions for her family members around the house day and night. She began her career as an avid actress when she was eight years old. She has now been involved with over 45 theatrical productions through schools, civic theaters, amusement parks, and professional theaters. Through these productions and private dance lessons, she became proficient with ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, modern, and musical theatre dance. Additionally, she participated in gymnastics starting at nine years old and was a part of the varsity Sun Prairie High School gymnastics team. Throughout her high school career, Miranda was an intern at the Sun Prairie Civic Theatre (SPCT). This unique experience taught her how to be a leader behind the scenes of theatre and gave her the joy of teaching young people about the exhilaration and lessons theatre brings. In 2020, Miranda graduated from North Central College in Naperville, IL with B.A.s in Musical Theatre and Theatre, minors in Dance and Music, and a concentration in Leadership. After graduating, she joined the team at Your Performing Arts Center in Yorkville, IL, teaching private piano lessons, voice lessons, dance classes, and theatre classes. Most recently, she continued teaching theatre and music virtually from Houston as she earned an M.A. in Theatre Studies from the University of Houston. Her graduate training included pedagogical technique, theatre history, dramaturgy, scholarly writing, and style and technique in theatre and music performance. Her master’s thesis focused on new feminist absurdist theatre. Moving forward, she plans to pursue a PhD in interdisciplinary theatre studies in order to earn a teaching position at a university. Miranda finds that dance allows her to create a world through movement and song that lets students step into others’ shoes. She additionally views dance as a therapeutic way of taking dancers and audience members away from anything that might be ailing them. Therefore, she finds so much joy in meeting passionate, young artists and helping them reap these benefits of the art form. The most rewarding part of her work is watching her students grow as dancers and human beings, a process that fills her with hope and inspiration. She eagerly looks forward to the days when she teaches with Monona Dance Academy! Now a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Bella continues to nurture her passion for dance by taking ballet classes and performing with a student organization on campus. After 3 Summers at Houston Ballet School, he joined the full-time day program and began studying under the direction of Andrew Murphy. After graduating he began his professional career as a Trainee with Ballet West in Salt Lake City Utah and was able to perform roles such as The Lead male in George Balanchine's Walpurgisnacht and as “The Bear” in Willem Cristianstens the Nutcracker. While he lived in Utah, he was fortunate enough to also work as a guest artist and performed not only with the University of Utah but also around the country with companies such as NorthStar Ballet in Alaska, Nevada Ballet Theater in Las Vegas, AVA Ballet in Reno, and Queen City Ballet in Helena, Montana. From there he moved to Denver where he joined the studio company at Colorado Ballet and performed with Feel the Movement, a contemporary dance project based out of Denver led by Director Edgar Page. He then moved to Iowa and began dancing at Ballet Des Moines directed by Serkan Usta. After living in Iowa, Ben moved to San Antonio to dance for Ballet San Antonio under the direction of Sofiane Sylve. He was promoted to soloist his first season with company and danced in roles such as Basillio in Don Quixote, The Nutcracker Prince in The Nutcracker, and Bottom in Midsummer Night's Dream. On top of his career as a ballet dancer Ben is also a professional ballroom dancer competing in International Latin.
