Courtney Kopchinski

Courtney Kopchinski is a dancer, choreographer, and certified Pilates Instructor from Madison, WI. Courtney began her dance training at a young age in her hometown of Plover, WI training in classical styles such as Ballet, Jazz, and Modern. Upon starting her college career, she founded her love and passion in urban street styles such as Hip Hop, Heels, and Contemporary/Floorwork. In 2021, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a certificate in Pilates and Gender/Women Studies. Currently, she is a Hip Hop and Contemporary Dance instructor and choreographer for various dance studios and competition teams located throughout the Madison community. She is also the founder and owner of her own Pilates company known as CK Pilates.

At Monona, she teaches Hip Hop every Monday. What Courtney loves about teaching is being able to share her knowledge and love of dance with the dancers. Being able to watch them grow and become confident in dance is one of her favorite things about teaching. She prioritizes vocabulary and teaching strong foundational hip hop movements in her classes. She is excited to be a part of the Monona Academy of Dance team!
