Margaret Violante

Ms. Margaret is a Monona Academy of Dance and Dance Wisconsin alumnae.

Margaret primarily teaches modern and contemporary dance. Her goal is to introduce students to a range of modern techniques and contemporary styles. One of her favorite aspects of teaching dance is fostering students to grow in their confidence through dance. She also aims to take their interests and goals into account when lesson planning.

Margaret began choreographing with Dance Wisconsin at 14 and received a scholarship at 17 to attend the Regional Dance America (RDA) National Choreography Intensive. She continues to enjoy choreographing with Dance Wisconsin, and has set multiple pieces for New Works. Several pieces have been performed at RDA.

Margaret is a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison completing her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing and certification as a Pilates instructor. Margaret hopes to continue her dance education through attending teaching courses, especially in Horton and Graham Techniques.
