Academy
Policies
As follows are General Policies and Expectations for registered students with Monona Academy of Dance.
Attendance
Progress in dance depends on regular and consistent participation in class. Absences will ultimately hinder your child’s progress. Please report all absences to the school in advance. If the student must miss class, make arrangements to participate in a make-up class.
Tuition is non-refundable after the start of the academic year except in the case of written medical excuse for injury or extreme illness. Poor attendance is not grounds for a refund.
Payment Policy
Monona Academy of Dance offers several payment options. When you register your dancer(s) for classes, select the option that works best for your family. Payments can either be studio-run using a valid credit or debit card or bank account on file or customer run. Invoices paid via credit card will be subjectto a 2.5% credit card fee.
No matter which payment plan is chosen, Term 1 invoices must be paid in full prior to the last day ofthe term (Saturday, December 19th, 2026). Dancers will not be permitted to participate in Term 2 classes until Term 1 is paid in full. Term 2 invoices must be paid in full by the last day ofthe term (Saturday, May 29th, 2027). Dancers with outstanding balances may not be able to participate in Picture Day(s) and/or the recital(s).
While Monona Academy of Dance will still allow customers to run their own payments, all customers will be required to have a valid credit or debit card on file with the studio. Dancers will not be able to start classes in Term 1 until a valid card has been put on file. Customers receive a reminder from Quickbooks 3 days before the due date, the date a payment is due, and 3 days after the due date. If a payment becomes late by 10 calendar days, Monona Academy of Dance will run the agreed-upon monthly or biweekly payment amount using the card on file. If the payment is not able to be completed, the dancer(s) in question will not be allowed to participate in class until the agreed-upon payment is made.
Pick-up
It is the policy of Monona Academy of Dance that all dancers 10 years of age or younger should not be allowed to exit the building unattended by an adult. Parents or the responsible adult they send to pick up their dancer should enter the waiting area of the Stoughton Road building or the Sun Prairie Ice Arena, inside the studio portion inside Cardinal Rink, to gather their student. Monona Academy of Dance will not be held responsible for dancers who exit the building on their own without adult accompaniment.
