Halia began dancing at the age of two and trained in all styles at The Dance Complex in Minnesota. As a teenager, she fell in love with ballet and chose to pursue it professionally. She earned her BFA in Dance Performance from Butler University, where she studied under renowned faculty including Derek Reid, Cynthia Pratt, Susan McGuire, David Ingram, Ramon Flowers, Rosanna Ruffo, and Marek Cholewa. While at Butler, she performed in major productions such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Giselle, and Sleeping Beauty. Her favorite role she performed while at Butler was the white cat in Sleeping Beauty. Halia is now a trainee with Madison Ballet and looks forward to the year ahead!
