Born and raised in California, Madison Dabalos has been immersed in dance and various performing arts since she was 8. She has an extensive background in commercial dance styles, competition dance, high school and community musical theatre, and modern dance. She graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a B.A. in Dance and a minor in Kinesiology. Here, she had the opportunity to work with guest choreographers Yoshito Sarkuraba, Jamila Glass, Bradley Beakes, Sadie Weinberg, and Boroka Nagy.

Immediately following graduation, she achieved her Comprehensive Pilates and Mat Pilates Instructor certificates from Orange Coast College. You can find Madison in the Downtown Madison, Fitchburg, and Monona areas teaching dancers, athletes, and the general public the importance of movement and fitness and its association to health and happiness.

Madison is thrilled to continue her second season apprenticeship at Kanopy Dance. She has performed works by Kanopy artistic directors, Lisa Thurrell and Robert Cleary, original works by Anna Sokolow and José Limón, and has learned from many guest artists. She is also excited for her second year teaching at Monona Academy of Dance!
